The Hanna HI98301 New Waterproof TDS Tester is a pocket-sized instrument designed for measuring total dissolved solids in a variety of applications including water conditioning, environmental monitoring, education and general laboratory use. With a conversion factor of 0.5, this modern and ergonomic meter is only 0.7" thick and features a simple two-button operation for easy ON/OFF and calibration. With a range of up to 1999 ppm (mg/L), the HI98301 is a rugged and reliable choice for both lab and field use.
The Hanna HI98301 TDS Tester with ATC boasts a large, multi-level LCD display that shows both TDS and temperature readings simultaneously. TDS readings, with a 1 ppm resolution and ±2% full scale accuracy, are quickly taken using the exposed temperature sensor and can be displayed in either ℃ or ℉. Other features include stability and calibration tag indicators, battery level display at start up, and automatic shut-off options. The TDS readings are performed with an amperometric graphite electrode for improved repeatability and reduced polarization effect. Calibration is easily performed with the dedicated button and 1382 ppm calibration standard. Setup options allow for customization of automatic shut-off timing and temperature units. The setup mode can be accessed by pressing a button in the battery compartment.
FEATURE
- Slim, ergonomic design with rounded edges and a case that is only 17 mm (0.7 inch) thick, the HI98301 is thin and fits comfortably in the hand or pocket
- Large multi-level LCD, the LCD is 29 mm (1.125 inch) x 20 mm (0.81 inch) allowing the user to easily read both the pH and temperature simultaneously
- Two-button operation-one for On or Off, the other for calibration
- Exposed Temperature Sensor: Exposed temperature sensor allows for quick automatic temperature compensated measurements
- Temperature can be displayed in either degree Celsius or degree Fahrenheit
- Graphite Sensor: Reduces polarization effects and does not oxidize resulting in a reliable and accurate reading
- Automatic Calibration: Automatic calibration at 1382 ppm (mg/L) with a single push of a button
